Au pairs are individuals who provide domestic help and perform a multitude of services. They usually work with foreign families and are usually responsible for providing intercultural understanding so that the family that they are working for is provided with new cultural exposure.

Au pairs provide a lot of domestic services including child care, light housekeeping, laundry, errands and even cooking if the individual job description allows. To acquire a position as an au pair, a reference letter is of the utmost importance as they work and live with families and it is essential that they are trustworthy.

To Whom It May Concern

This letter is my personal recommendation for Eliza Alfonso who worked as an Au Pair for my family over the last decade. There is no better way to describe her than being indispensible and I am very sad to see her leave us.

Eliza has been nothing less than our family member during past eleven years. She possess a good attitude and calm nature. She literally brought up my children while I was busy earning a living for them and she never ever given me a chance to complain. My house was always spick and span and my children have never been neglected. She has looked after my children’s nutritional needs and even taught them Spanish which I believe will be an added credit as they start college.

While my mother was alive, Eliza also looked after her with diligence and compassion and made her life easy by providing everything she needed in a day while looking after my children and the house. Now that my children are all grown up, Eliza does not see much work here even though I would love to keep her on as a companion.

Eliza will be an absolute asset to whichever family that she works for and I recommend her fully for this position. I wish her all the best in her future endeavors and will miss her greatly. Please feel free to call me if you have any questions about her work that you need answered.
