No matter how hard and thoroughly you prepare for a Program Associate interview, you can never completely get rid of the edge that you will feel during the process.

What type of projects have you worked on in the past?
I have mostly provided support to conservation projects, as I have worked for an organization that catered to conservation issues primarily. This included a water saving project coined World Thirst, and Save the Trees, another initiative to create conservation awareness within the community.

What do you find most interesting while working in a program associate role?
The fact that working as a program associate means focused work makes me like working in the position the most. Due to the fact that I am a structured individual by nature, I find work that runs on a standard path to be quite interesting.

As a program associate, what have been your main duties in the past?
Typically, I have been providing strategy development, implementation and monitoring support to the programs and modules that I have been assigned to, over the last 2 years that I have worked as a program associate. In addition to this, I have been actively involved in supporting communication and knowledge management projects, collecting and analyzing information to identify areas of support for assigned programs, facilitating consultative processes, preparing project-relevant planning instruments and products, and supporting the presentation of information for audits and evaluation of projects.

What is the one skill that you have which helps you work exceptionally well?
I am a disciplined individual, which is a skill that one cannot do without when working in project management.

How do you handle the stress of deadlines?
I never stress about deadlines because my project management skills are such that I manage my time extremely well. Most of my work is done way before a deadline is in sight.

What are your 5 year career plans?
Within the next 5 years, I hope to have learnt enough to be able to climb the ladder to the position of a project director.
