Medical Scribe Cover Letter Sample

Updated on: January 9, 2019

Writing a cover letter for Medical Scribe job is a necessity since you need to put it out there that you are a great candidate for the job, and others are not as talented as you are.

How do you know if others are talented or not? You don’t!

But you have to make a conscious effort to come out on top, which is why your cover letter needs to be topnotch too.

Most cover letters possess the same old information about how good an individual is. It is a pity that they don’t outline how good an individual is for a specific organization.

Remember that you being good at anything is of no consequence to the hiring manager, who wants to know exactly how you can be useful for him or her specifically.

When you mention your skills and abilities, also make sure that you highlight why and how these will benefit a hiring manager.

To see how you can write a cover letter for a medical scribe position, have a look at the following sample:

Dear Mr. Mate:

I am submitting my attached resume in application for the position of Medical Scribe. As a medical scribe, you will find me to be exceptionally well-versed in a number of areas, including physician support, and documentation. If you look through my resume, you will notice a string of accomplishments that I have to my name, most of which I could duplicate for Trinity Health Services.

I have worked in a medical scribe capacity for over 5 years now, and I am well aware of all the small and big things associated with this work. As an individual with great comprehension of Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, and a solid background in obtaining and organizing information into the system, I will be an instant credit to your hospital.

Exceptional proficiency in accompanying physicians on patient visits, deriving required information, providing patient education, and ensuring that all ordered tests and reviews are obtained in a timely and accurate manner is my forte. Furthermore, I have been responsible for oversight of patient coding information into the system, and have devised a novel way of ensuring the accuracy of punched in data, which I would like to share with you as well.

Next Monday, I will contact your office to talk with you regarding my suitability and possibly set up a meeting time. Until then, you may call me at (333) 333-3333 if any further information is required.

Thank you for your time and consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

James Hollow
