Why did you choose to work in an accounting capacity?
I have always been good with numbers and calculations, and accounting was something that I took a fancy to in my college years. Since I am great at this work, I decided to peruse a career in it.

Outline 4 major duties that you have performed in the role of a general ledger accountant.
While working as a general ledger accountant, I have been responsible for creating ledger entries, creating and maintaining a master lists of periodic journal entries, assisting with journal entry examinations, and handling discrepancies in accounting books.

What skills do you think are necessary while working as a general ledger accountant?
I believe that a person working as s general ledger accountant must possess great analytic abilities, along with an organized mind. In addition to this, it is imperative to be able to manage multiple tasks at the same time, and possess an excellent eye for detail. Of course, accounting knowledge is foremost, and unless one has a background for it, you cannot really do justice to your work.

How do you handle accounting discrepancies?
My discrepancy handling strategy is simple. Make accuracy a priority. I make sure that discrepancies do not transpire. If and when they do, I make sure that I use the checks and balance system to determine and fix them.

What is your greatest strength?
I am fortunate to be a perfectionist, as working in an accounting capacity requires constant perfection.

What are your 5 year career goals?
I am gearing up to eventually work as the head of an accounting department. Since I am a diligent and hard-working individual, I am sure that my dedication and resourcefulness will take me to the heights that I am now looking up to.
