School Bus Monitor Cover Letter Sample

A cover letter is basically just a simple document that outlines all that an employer would wish to know about you. This information will include skills, competencies and past achievements, as they relate to the job that you are applying for. By no means is a cover letter a repetition of your resume; in fact, it is used to complement a resume rather than repeat the information that you have already provided in a resume!

Now that we have this fact cleared, let’s move on to other important facts about a cover letter. Every cover letter that you write needs to be written on a general letter writing rule – introduction, main body and conclusion. The introduction is where you grab the reader’s attention by sparking his interest and making sure that he does not put the letter down before he reads till the end. The main body will be the soul of your letter. Information of all your work-related strengths and competencies will be written here. This is the part that will actually convince the reader that you are the right person for the job. Ending your cover letter in a conventional way is not recommended anymore. Instead of implying that you will wait for the hiring manager to call you, tell the reader that you will be calling him – and leave a telephone number where you can be reached.

You may follow the format of the following cover letter sample if you wish:

Dear Mrs. Victor:

• Saved a special needs students from self-harm by recognizing early signs of distress and coaxing him into giving up a sharp object that he had concealed.
