Recommendation letters are great communicators of an individual’s personal and professional attributes.

You can write one for a student, an employee, a friend, or even a tenant, depending on your specific role.

In order to be able to write one, you have to have all the information at hand.

Ask yourself the following questions before writing a teacher aide recommendation letter:

  1. Am I in a position to write a recommendation letter?
  2. Do I know the person well to provide him or her with a recommendation?
  3. Do I have good things to say about the person?
  4. Is he or she good enough to provide a recommendation for him or her?

If the answer to all of the above questions is yes, you may proceed to write a recommendation letter.

The question now is – how to write a Teacher Aide recommendation letter?

The first thing that you have to understand about recommendation letters is that they are always about praising the individual for whom you are writing one.

If you do not have anything good to say about him or her, politely decline to write a reference letter, as mentioning someone’s negative side kills the purpose of writing a recommendation letter.

To Whom It May Concern

I am writing in support of Connie Wells for a Teacher Aide position. Connie Wells first came to my attention when her lead teacher informed me of her exceptional ability to handle students with behavioral problems. I discovered that Connie has a great talent to reach out to students to comprehend their specific emotional needs and address them accordingly, a feat that many trained teachers have been unable to manage.

One of Connie’s main attributes is her persistence in getting the job done. She has been a great asset to our school as she has often been called upon to handle unruly children in other classes, which she has managed without much effort. Her research work, for teaching aids particularly, is meticulous since she puts in a lot of effort in finding just the right types of resources needed to complement classroom instruction.

I am confident that Connie will be a great addition to your team of teacher aides and continue to be productive. I strongly recommend her without any reservation. If there is anything additional or specific that you would like to know about her please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,
