Teacher Self-Introduction Letter Sample

Updated on: February 13, 2022

Nowadays, it is perfectly reasonable to write a self-introduction letter to let people know in an organization that you are their new colleague.

Self-introduction letters can be written to the administration as a whole, colleagues, customers, or even parents if you are a newly hired teacher.

Before you write a self-introduction letter, make sure that it is standard practice in the organization.

If letters of this type are not encouraged, you must resort to other means of introducing yourself.

However, self-introduction letters save HR personnel from going into long introductions of each new employee, which is why they are quite the norm these days.

If you have been asked to write a self-introduction letter, your first thought should be who am I addressing it to?

When you have sorted this part out, begin writing your letter by carefully introducing yourself as a new employee of the organization, detailing just some of your positive attributes and skills.

Do not forget to make sure that your letter is bubbly and informational, and not dull and condescending.

As a first impression, the self-introduction letter can make an impact on the people with whom you will be working.

Self-Introduction Letter as a Teacher to a New School

February 13, 2022

Dear Administrators / Parents:

Please allow me to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the newly appointed English teacher at Riverside High School. Even before I joined this school, I was aware of the impact of the quality education that the school provides, on students who grow up to be responsible adults.

By leveraging my 14+ years of experience, I would be able to contribute highly to helping students meet their curriculum goals, and provide them with a wider view of the perception of this form of art.

Since I have taught students ranging from ages 8 to 16, I am well aware of all levels of English literature education, and can quite comfortably incorporate technology into regular lessons. I believe this skill will help students in learning through both conventional means and modern ways.

I look forward to meeting all of you individually while learning the ropes so that my transition into the system is as smooth as possible.

Sincerely,

(Signature)
