Personal support workers provide in-home services to elderly clients and people with serious diseases or disabilities. They assist patients with daily living such as eating, bathing, dressing and grooming. They also teach independent living skills to patients and help them by performing basic medical activities such as monitoring blood pressure and administering medication.

Personal support workers usually hold a CNA or LPN certification as they are expected to provide a huge array of medical services to their wards. Your skills and experience in personal care capacities will go a long way in helping you obtain employment as a Personal Support Worker.
