Reference Letter for a Personal Assistant

Updated on: January 16, 2023

Reference letters are written to provide credence to an employee’s character and employment history so that he or she may apply for a subsequent position.

A reference letter may be used for applying to many organizations at the same time unless an ex-employee asks explicitly for separately written ones.

Reference letters are positive documents; if you have nothing good to say about an ex-employee, you may decline to write one but you cannot write a negative one as the purpose of a reference letter is to help an individual bag a job.

How to Write a Personal Assistant Reference Letter?

While reference letters need not be written in any specific format, it is essential to keep a few things in mind when writing them.

They need to possess an optimistic tone. They need not be addressed to any particular person as copies may be handed to many different employers.

To Whom It May Concern:

This letter is my strong recommendation for Alia Jackson, who worked as a personal assistant at Simon Co. between 2019 and 2022. During her tenure, she has shown extreme diligence and dedication while performing secretarial work with a smile.

In the capacity of a personal assistant, Alia is very passionate and efficient. She introduced and implemented a new filing system, which increased the efficiency of the office manifold. She is punctual, organized, and able to display excellent attention to detail. Her ability to learn quickly and achieve any goal provided to her has added tremendous value to me personally and to the company on the whole.

On many occasions, Alia’s ability to liaise with government regulators has helped the company in preparing and handling international trade missions which have brought about much profit to the company. She welcomes leadership opportunities and is entirely focused on meeting tight deadlines.

With Alia gone, Simon Co. will lose a valuable employee, but I wish her all the best in her future endeavors and recommend her wholeheartedly for a similar position in any company that she desires to work for. I am confident that she will be an asset to any organization. If you would like further information about Alia, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Gerald Huntington
