Ride Operator Cover Letter Sample

Updated on: August 28, 2021

A ride operator cover letter provides the prospective employer with information on your skills, experiences, and qualifications.

Generally, cover letters advocate your abilities to perform a task or a series of functions, so you need to think along these lines.

Since a ride operator cover letter is written to provide “prose” of some of (definitely not all!), the facts that you have mentioned in your resume, you need to be very succinct in what you write.

As a ride operator, your cover letter will focus on your knowledge of operating amusement park rides and providing customer services.

Your opening should be strong; not run of the mill as the competition will eat you if you begin by stating, “this is concerning…”

Originality is the key here.

Here is how you can write a cover letter for a ride operator position.

Ms. Jenny Jennings
Park Manager
Six Flags
7294 Marsh Road
Wilmington, DE 92013

Dear Ms. Jennings:

With my experience and expertise in operating complex rides in amusement parks is spanning over 5 years, I am confident that I am the right choice for the Ride Operator position at Six Flags. Your requirements specifically state that you are looking for someone who “understands and can work with both old park rides and new ones” and I believe I fit the bill quite neatly.

Since I worked for Palace Entertainment for many years, I am familiar with all aspects of amusement park rides – from the ones that they have been maintaining since 1992 to the recently installed ones. My experience in handling maintenance issues on all types of rides is immense. I have been awarded the “Safety Troll” badge 5 times which is the highest commendation from Palace Entertainment.

Having said that, I take the safety of guests very seriously and have developed special fifteen-minute programs that I insist all guests wishing to ride the Mega Jumbo Rollercoaster (credited the highest rollercoaster with the most severe decline in Delaware) attend before they decide they want to be part of this adventure.

My resume and other credentials will be of interest to you and are enclosed herewith. I will stay in touch with your office to determine a suitable meeting time so we can discuss the possibility of my working for Six Flags. I can be reached at (000) 874-6210 if you need to contact me.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Thomas Cook
