Nurse educators are accountable for planning and implementing training programs to prepare student/junior nurses for working with patients, coworkers and seniors. They are responsible to ensure that student nurses are ready to work as professional nurses at the end of their training program. Nurse educators help them with orientation based on both theory and practice and often practically assist them in managing procedures, especially the first time around.
When nurse educators apply for a job, they need to ensure that their cover letters speak volumes for their expertise in educating junior nurses. Since nursing is a profession that deals with direct patient care, it is important that nurse educators plan and implement exceptional educational programs. This ability is not everyone’s cup of tea; if you have this ability, you must draw attention to your skills especially when writing a cover letter.

Dear Mr. John:
I am writing to apply for the position as a Burse educator at New Jersey Nursing School. With my value of confidentiality, education delivery expertise and six-year experience in staff/patient advocatory, I am confident that I will become a role model and leader of your nursing unit.
Developing and implementing core nursing education systems is my specialty as I pay special attention to individual student nurses. My expertise lies in coaching new nurses in an effective fashion while managing performance evaluations and growth plans. The plans that I devise are centred around systematic learning experiences which in turn are based on needs assessments. I have a reputation for preparing work-ready nurses who require minimal supervision. Furthermore, I am well-acquainted with supervising student nurses especially during their first real-time work assignments.
My resume and other credentials are enclosed for your perusal. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss with you how my experiences and competencies can benefit New Jersey Nursing School and add more value to the Nursing Staff. You may contact me at (000) 011-4567.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
