Describe the role of a manger?

A manager’s role is basically to run an office, department or a firm, ensuring the smooth flow of daily operations by timely resolving employee and client problems.

Additionally, a manager is responsible for human resource management and sometimes may be asked to handle finances as well.

 

The position basically serves as a liaison between employees and executives.

How can you contribute to this company?

With my excellent management and leadership skills, I believe I can enhance the productivity of the firm and ensure consistent progress by managing human resource effectively.

I have ample knowledge of the company’s past records and also quite insightful about its future prospects.

What was the number of employees under your management at your previous workplace?

I was responsible to directly supervise 50+ employees at my previous workplace

 

How do you handle inefficiency?

I take personal responsibility for the efficiency of my team. I monitor their performance and make sure everyone is doing their assigned duty well. If they need guidance or coaching, I provide that.

Tell me one professional achievement you are proud of?

I enhanced the work efficiency of the department by 60% through the introduction and implementation of unique incentives for the employees.

What strategies do you use while dealing with a client’s complaints?

First of all, I listen to the complaint by remaining silent and showing concern.

Then I apologize for the inconvenience caused. I also offer a justification or explanation to make the clients understand what went wrong.

Finally, I put in a lot of effort to resolve the problem as soon as possible and try my best to calm down the customers before they leave.

How do you motivate your staff?

I motivate my staff by maintaining an energetic team-oriented environment at the work place and by commending the notable efforts.

I conduct fortnightly seminars and inspirational lectures, to motivate my team to work dedicatedly and to put in their best.

What PC and Management software are you practiced in?

I hold a diploma in basic IT courses and am well versed in MS Office suite, MS project, Screensheet and Alpha 5

What should be a manager’s relationship with the employees?

For accomplishing and maintaining a positive atmosphere to foster a working relationship between employees and management, a manager’s behavior with the staff should be based on understanding, respect and faith. It should be friendly but firm and analytical.

How would you define success?

When you have planned something, worked whole-heartedly for it, faced challenges and attained the target at the end of the day, that is what I call success.
