Mr. Bert Anderson
Zoo Manager
Manassas Wildlife
7635 Pittston Road
Manassas, VA 55005

Dear Mr. Anderson:

My love for wild animals and a corresponding natural need to see them well and healthy is the prime force that has made me apply for the position of a Zoo Keeper at Manassas Wildlife. I have recently moved to Manassas from Arlington where I was keeping a similar position at the local zoo.

Since I have worked as a zoo keeper in my previous job as well, I am familiar with most tasks that are particular to this job. I comprehend the type and amount of food each animal is required to take and I am also proficient in performing some limited functions of a vet. Understanding animals well, I have a keen eye that looks out for any behavioral changes or health issues that any zoo animal may exhibit. Possessing excellent people skills, I am comfortable with sightseers who venture into a zoo looking for some adventure and know enough about each zoo animal to be able to provide them with detailed history.

I am positive that I will be a good contribution to Manassas Wildlife and offer my resume for your consideration. I will call you to set an interview time soon and will be available at (302) 333-3413 if you need to contact me. Thank you for your time and consideration.
