Dear Mr. McGregor:

I am pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Renfrew City University. I was asked to choose a company where I would like to do an industrial engineering internship, and I chose Ace Incorporated. The reason is simple – it is the best in Pennsylvania, and I would like to start off my professional exposure with the very best.

During the course of my degree, I have been taught many aspects of industrial engineering, and I can promise to be able to apply 70% of them at the very least in a real-time environment. With a vast knowledge of statistical methodologies that are used to determine manufacturing costs, procedures, and production standards, I am in a league of my own as you will discover when we work together. I have some knowledge of designing and determining equipment layouts along with managing materials and workspace to ensure the very best in production procedures. My understanding of engineering specifications that rule each production stage is well defined, and I take pride in my ability to work in sync with resources and people at every step of the production cycle.

A list of many industrial engineering projects, which I have been involved in, is enclosed with this letter and will provide you with great insight into my skills. I look forward to this opportunity now and expect that this liaison will not end at the end of the internship.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
