Entry-Level Hospitality Cover Letter No Experience

Updated on: May 11, 2022

For an industry that requires top-notch people to work for it, the cover letter you write needs to be something special.

A generic cover letter is not good.

If you have an all-purpose cover letter to apply for a job in the hospitality industry, rewrite it!

Do not trust the free cover letter templates that you find on the internet. Filling out the blanks and sending in a pre-written cover letter will seldom give you an interview.

That is because the employer knows that you did not spend time or thought in writing a cover letter.

Even if the candidate has had no previous experience in the hospitality industry, cover letter writing rules remain the same.

For someone looking for an entry-level position in the hospitality industry, the following cover letter sample will help in writing their own:

Ms. Sasha Frost
Manager Human Resources
Waldorf Astoria Hotels
6 SE Elm Street
Renville, MN 77783

Dear Ms. Frost:

As a recent hospitality graduate from Renville Technical College, I would like to bring your attention to my attached resume in anticipation of being part of your hotel.

Right after my graduation, I took a series of courses, during which I learned the intricacies of running a bar and performing guest service duties. While my focus at the moment is to obtain a guest relations position with your hotel, I am positive that I can fit equally well in the hotel bar or any of the five restaurants that you have inside the premises.

Working for Waldorf Astoria Hotels interests me much because I believe that I have a knack for customer service – a knack that has been polished by years of related education and real-life experiences. Possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a flair for performing unequivocally in a leadership position, I am positive that you will find my candidature interesting.

To discuss what value I can add to your hotel, I would appreciate a meeting. Thank you very much for your consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,

George Middleton
