Fast Food Shift Leader Cover Letter Sample

Updated on: March 4, 2018

Different employers like different types of cover letters for fast food shift leader position – after all, they are all people with individual tastes!

But this fact leaves applicants in a quandary because there is no way of finding out if a particular employer has a specific taste in cover letters!

What does one do?

One gamble! There is no other way to find out what will appeal to an employer if you haven’t even met him, or know who he is.

Take the risk of writing a letter that you deem most befitting the position for which you have applied for – and to the organization’s reputation.

A little research is always needed before writing a cover letter – find out if the organization is cool and open, or tough and rigid. And then write your cover letter accordingly.

There is very little chance that you will go wrong – when you have a lot of information on the background of a company, you cannot help but write a cover letter that will meet its needs.

Do not mess up your chances by writing a cover letter that no one wants to read. Boasting about yourself is okay if you don’t go to extremes.

Think of your cover letter as a personal introduction and you won’t go wrong.

Here is a sample to help you along:

Mr. Hugh Portman
Hiring Manager
Captain Cook’s
902 5th Street
West Point, IA 63200

Dear Mr. Portman:

As a dedicated fast food shift leader, I am eager to run a busy shift at Captain Cook’s by employing both experience and training in this area.

At my previous place of work, I was solely responsible for bringing a dwindling fast food business from a “rags to riches” stage by providing insight into running each restaurant shift, by focusing on quality of service. Some of the reasons why I believe that hiring me for this position will be a right decision are listed below:

• Demonstrated ability to create schedules and daily work orders for both kitchen staff and crew members, and ensures that these schedules and orders are followed through.

• Exceptionally well-versed in monitoring crew members to ensure delivery of fast and efficient service.

• Talented in closing and balancing cash drawers at the end of each shift with zero discrepancies.

It would be a pleasure to meet with you in person to discuss how I can contribute to your restaurant in a shift manager capacity – and provide details into my “rags to riches” story. I will be in touch with you. Alternately, you can contact me at (000) 365-9654.

Sincerely,

(Signature)
